The SEND policy is written for the whole school community: staff, learners, parents/carers and governors and designed to be a working document.

Pupils at Eden School will normally have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). In exceptional circumstances, a pupil may be admitted without a statement or EHCP if it is expected that Eden will be the named placement and that completion will be within 26 weeks.

Eden School may also have short-term assessment places available. For further details, see Admissions Policy.

Eden School believes that every teacher is a teacher of every child and the policy is written by considering the needs of the whole child/young person.
